Digital Products Policy

By placing an order, you agree to this policy.

1. About our resources

The Muslim Counsellor provides downloadable educational and self-reflection resources, including workbooks and guided journals. They draw on counselling-informed principles, emotional wellbeing practices and Islamic teachings. They support self-awareness, reflection, personal growth and faith-sensitive wellbeing.

2. Educational and wellbeing disclaimer

• These resources are not individual counselling, psychotherapy, diagnosis or medical treatment, and are not a substitute for professional care.

• Buying or using them does not create a counsellor–client relationship. Counselling services are provided separately under their own agreement.

• Islamic teachings and reflections are shared for educational purposes only and do not replace guidance from a suitably qualified Islamic scholar.

• We cannot guarantee any particular therapeutic, personal or spiritual outcome.

• Please work at your own pace. If an exercise feels overwhelming, stop and speak to a qualified professional, your GP or someone you trust.

3. Who can buy

You must be 18 or over to purchase. By buying, you confirm that you are.

4. Products, prices and your order

• We describe each product as accurately as we can. Files are provided as PDF unless stated otherwise.

• Prices are in GBP (£) and include VAT where applicable. The total is shown before you pay.

• Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we send you an order confirmation email. We may decline an order, for example if a price was shown incorrectly, and if so we will refund any payment taken.

• We may change prices or withdraw products at any time. This does not affect orders already placed.

5. Payment

Payments are processed securely by our payment providers (such as Wix Payments or PayPal). We do not see or store your full card details. Payment is taken when you place your order.

6. Digital delivery and access

• Products are supplied electronically. Nothing is posted.

• After payment, you will see a download link on the confirmation page and receive it by email, usually within minutes. If you don’t receive it within 30 minutes, check your spam folder, then contact us.

• Download links are limited to 5 downloads. Please save the file after downloading. If you lose access, email us and we will resend the link.

• You are responsible for having suitable software and a device to open the file, such as a PDF reader.

7. Cancellation and refunds

Your right to cancel. You have 14 days from the day your order is confirmed to cancel without giving a reason.

When you lose this right. For digital content, the right to cancel ends once your download begins, but only if, at checkout, you (a) expressly agree to immediate access and (b) acknowledge that you will lose your right to cancel, and we (c) confirm this to you in your order email.

How to cancel. Email kaneezmohammad@hotmail.co.uk within the cancellation period, stating your name, order number and that you wish to cancel.

Refunds if you cancel in time. We will refund you to your original payment method within 14 days of receiving your cancellation.

Faulty or misdescribed products. Your legal rights are not affected. Digital content must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for its purpose. If a file is faulty, will not open, or is not as described, contact us. We will first provide a working replacement. If that is not possible, or does not fix the problem, you are entitled to a refund or price reduction.

8. Copyright and licence

• All content is the copyright of The Muslim Counsellor and Kaneez Osman.

• You receive a personal, non-commercial licence. You may download, save and print copies for your own use.

• You may not resell, reproduce commercially, share, upload to file-sharing sites, post publicly or distribute the resources, in whole or in part, without our written permission. Sharing a purchased file with others breaches this policy.

• Using extracts in social media posts or teaching requires our prior written permission.

9. Liability

Nothing in this policy excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. It does not affect your statutory consumer rights. Subject to that, we are not responsible for decisions you make based on the content of our resources, or for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable.

10. Privacy

Kaneez Osman, trading as The Muslim Counsellor, is responsible for your personal data. We collect your name, email address and order details to process your order, deliver your product, keep records and send order-related emails. Payment details are handled by our payment providers. Your data is held through our website platform (Wix) and is never sold. We send marketing emails only if you have opted in, and you can unsubscribe at any time. You have the right to access, correct or delete your data and to object to its use. Email kaneezmohammad@hotmail.co.uk to do this. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk). See our Privacy Policy for more details.

11. Complaints

If you are unhappy with your purchase, email kaneezmohammad@hotmail.co.uk with your order number. We aim to reply within 2 working days and to resolve the issue fairly. If we cannot resolve it, we will tell you whether we agree to use an approved alternative dispute resolution provider and give you their details.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The version in force at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase.

13. General

• If any part of this policy is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.

• We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as website or internet outages.

• This policy is governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring claims in your local courts. You keep any rights you have in your country of residence.
